Broadcast announcer

Because nobody shares a spreadsheet

The numbers are for the coach. The call is for everyone else — a broadcast announcer narrating your swim over your own footage, timed to your real splits. It is the part that gets sent to grandparents.

And it only ever says what the film actually shows. Every number the announcer reads is one we measured.

On the call
“…and Lane 4 turns at 26.8, half a body length up. Watch the breakout — five dolphin kicks, clean to the surface, and she is still building. Stroke rate climbing through the 75 and the gap is opening…”

How it works

Pool deck to inbox

Four steps, one of which is just waiting for a dolphin to finish reading.

  1. 1

    Film it from the deck

A phone at the water line, tracking alongside the swimmer. No rig, no sensors, no special camera.

  2. 2

Pick your analyses, pay $7 each

Drag the clip in, tell us the stroke, and choose what you want to know. One analysis or all three — you only pay for what you pick.

  3. 3

    The dolphin reads the water

We go to work — tracking every frame, measuring the swim, and writing the call. Takes about 20 minutes.

  4. 4

    Check your inbox

A CDN link lands in your email. Open it anywhere, send it to a coach, a grandparent, or straight to your story.

You never have to sit and watch a progress bar. Analysis takes about 20 minutes because we read every single frame. Close the tab — the email is the finish line.

Filming 101

Better film, better numbers

Film from the deck at water level, or underwater, rather than from an elevated poolside angle. Lower, closer footage gives the pose tracker far cleaner keypoints — which means more of your metrics come back measured instead of gated.

Best

Underwater

The best of all. Underwater footage tracks the body far better than above-water splash — every keypoint stays visible.

Best

Deck height, at the water line

Follow the swimmer from the side, low and close. Clean keypoints mean more measured metrics and fewer gated numbers.

Limited

Elevated from the stands

Shooting down hides the far arm and confuses left from right. We'll still analyze it — and tell you honestly which numbers we couldn't trust.

Every stroke

Measured for what it is

Tell us the stroke and we analyze it on its own terms — freestyle symmetry, breaststroke glide, an underwater dolphin kick off the wall.

  • FreestyleFront crawl — alternating arms, flutter kick.
  • BackstrokeOn your back — alternating arms, flutter kick.
  • BreaststrokeSimultaneous arm pull with a whip kick and glide.
  • ButterflyBoth arms recover together over a dolphin kick.
  • UnderwaterDolphin-kick streamline off a wall — best tracking of all.

Questions

Before you dive in

What do I actually get for $7?
Each analysis is its own $7 job — Stroke, Race, or the Broadcast announcer. Pick the one you want, or mix and match: two is $14, all three is $21. Whatever you choose comes back as an annotated film with the skeleton and metrics burned in, plus a CDN link you can share with anyone, forever. No subscription.
How long does it take?
About 20 minutes for a 75-second clip. Pose tracking is genuinely heavy compute — we run every frame rather than sampling, because sampling is where swim analysis starts lying to you. We email you the moment it's ready, so close the tab.
What if my footage isn't great?
We still analyze it, and we tell you the truth. When a camera angle makes a number untrustworthy, dolfilm marks that metric unavailable and says why in plain language — rather than showing you a confident number it made up.
Do I need a special camera or sensors?
No. A phone on the pool deck is the whole setup. If you can film it, we can read it.
